I’ve always loved Valentine’s Day. I remember getting baskets, chocolates, and roses from my parents (I still get them!)

Every year, everyone puts so much energy into getting chocolates, roses, and cards for their loved ones.
We’re so busy trying to give love to everyone else that we forget to give love to ourselves.
Or on the other hand, maybe you feel lonely on Valentine’s Day. That’s completely normal, but just because you’re alone doesn’t mean you can’t celebrate Valentine’s day.

This might sound cheesy, but it’s okay!
It’s time to put your insecurities to the side and think about all of the qualities you like about yourself.
I like to pretend that I’m writing a letter to my younger self. So what would you say to yourself as a child?

Get Yourself Chocolates and Flowers
We all love chocolates and flowers, right?! So why wait around on something to get them for us?

I don’t know about you, but it makes me feel good to do my hair and makeup every now and again, mostly because it’s fun!

Get Dressed Up
99% of the time, I have sweatpants and a t-shirt on.
Sometimes it feels good to get dressed up, and Valentine’s Day is the perfect day to do that!
So put on that dress or sweater you’ve wanted to wear for a while but never got the chance.

Practicing gratitude is a good way to look at all of the positive things in your life, and reflecting on these things makes you happier.

There’s actually research that shows that spending time outside makes you happier.
Pair that with a nice walk and it’ll definitely boost your mood.

When you’re settling in for the evening you could have a glass of wine and relax.

Make a playlist of your favorite playlist on Spotify and have a dance party!
