I’ve been seeing so many people buying all of these cute summer outfits from Shein. Everything I had been seeing was trendy clothes, and it was affordable!
But that made me question how good the quality was…
So this is my Shein review and summer haul 2020.
Overall Shein Review

Shein Shipping Times
First of all, I just want to say that shipping was delayed due to COVID-19. The items I got still came relatively fast. I got them in about 3 weeks. They come from China, so that’s something to consider. Typically, they come really fast to be coming from China.
I had no problems at all with my order. Everything I got came in perfect condition. Everything came in it’s own individual ziplock bags, which I thought was interesting.
Shein Quality
Upon opening my new Shein clothes, there was a slight smell from being processed and in the bag, but it wasn’t too noticeable. Once they were out of the bags, it went away pretty fast.
The quality of the clothing was surprisingly good. Each piece differs slightly, but nothing caught me by surprise. Everything looked just like it did in the picture.
I’ll go more in depth for each piece I bought below, but overall the clothing felt good. It was pretty thick and not see through. The only piece that was somewhat see through was the beige long sleeve shirt. The rest of the shirts were so thick I didn’t need a bra!
Shein Sizing
Everyone always asks about the sizing and quality of clothes. Everything is different on there, so make sure to check the reviews!! Some things you need to size up and down, so see what people are saying in the comments.
I never buy stuff unless there are reviews and pictures in the comments. If you want to see what it actually looks like, be sure to check the reviews for pictures. Sometimes when you’re online shopping, you get something that looks nothing like the picture. This is the best way to get exactly what you paid for.
Everything I got, I got in my normal size (M) and it all fit perfectly!
With that Shein review out of the way, here is my summer haul in 2020!
Shein Review: Summer Haul 2020
Cropped Tank and Bandana
I’ll start with this one because this is my all-time favorite! This Cropped Cami Top is perfect for summer outfits! You can dress it up with a cute skirt or wear it like I did! I paired it with these men’s jeans from Walmart. I’ve been obsessed with wearing white shoes with everything lately. These are my old Nike shoes from elementary school that I just found! I’m also obsessed with these jeans, so I’ve paired these with every single outfit I’m showing you 🙂
Bandanas have been one of the biggest fashion trends I’ve been seeing so far. I’ve been loving the aesthetic of them. There are so many ways you can wear a bandana! The picture below shows another way I decided to wear this bandana.
The bandana is kind of long for wearing on your head. I just folded the straight edge over a few times to fix it! The material is silky and so soft for your hair.
Bandana Shirt
This shirt is actually the same bandana I was wearing above. You don’t even need to buy another shirt to get this trendy bandana look! All I did was folded it into a triangle and tied it in the back. When it’s folded over like this, the material was thick enough to skip the bra for me.
The only bad thing about this is I’m super afraid of it falling off because it’s really hard to tie! I’ll probably stick to only wearing this on my head.
Two-Piece Floral Crop Top and Skirt
Ditsy Floral Ruched Crop Top & Skirt– $11.95
The next piece I got was this adorable two-piece set that included this crop top and skirt. This actually came from Romwe, but it’s pretty much the same as Shein. My Romwe stuff even came in Shein packages.
I have nothing else like this in my closet, so this was super exciting! You can wear the shirt off the shoulder like I have in the picture or on the shoulders (it makes a super cute square neckline). This is the perfect feminine look for a date night outfit or even a beach outfit.
The skirt is slightly see through when you hold it up in the sun. Be sure to pair it with something nude because it is slightly see through!
Since it’s a two piece, you can pair it separately. You can pair the skirt with a plain white or cream cropped cami and you can pair the top with denim shorts.
This is the probably the cheapest two-piece set I’ve ever seen, and the quality is actually really good for the price.
Cropped Floral Drawstring Shirt
Ditsy Floral Drawstring Crop Top– $7.37
I’ve been obsessed with these drawstring shirts for simple summer style. (You’ll see more in a minute).
The quality of this is very good. The drawstring is so cool because you can make it as cropped as you want. I had mine pulled up a little more than halfway in this.
The shirt is a little see through, but nothing extreme. I ordered a medium in this, and it’s a little tight around my arms.
For the price, I was super happy with this find!
Black Drawstring Crop Top
SHEIN Solid Lettuce Trim Drawstring Front Top– $6
This is my other drawstring crop top that I got for a cute summer outfit! It feels and feels the same as the one above. It’s a little tight in the arms.
The difference with this one is that it isn’t see through at all.
This is a staple simple top for a cute summer outfit.
Casual Ribbed Pullover
SHEIN Ribbed Notched Raw-Cut Crop Top– $9
I see myself wearing this as one of my beach outfits for night time. I also love this as a casual lounge outfit!
This top is a little more see through than I would have liked. I have to wear a neutral bra with it. The material is also flimsy, so I find myself constantly adjusting the “collar” of it.
It’s nothing that won’t keep me from wearing it though. I’ve worn it two times already and I love it!
Jewelry
I also got some jewelry that I forgot to take pictures of! All of the jewelry quality is really good for the price! The clasps on everything seems just as good as every other jewelry I have. Because of the price, I’m sure they won’t last long before they’re discolored or broken, but I’ll keep you updated!
Overall, I’m super happy with my purchases at Shein. It’s one of the best ways you can get affordable summer outfits without breaking the bank.
