Fall Self Care Ideas
Try a New Fall Recipe
Fall is an amazing time to start trying new recipes. I like to make Halloween cookies or, of course, make something pumpkin. Baking cozy recipes is relaxing and fits perfectly into any self care routine.
Here are some of my favorite fall recipes:
Paint your Nails Fall Colors
Fall is my favorite time for a lot of things. Especially painting my nails. I love the darker shades and doing fun designs for Halloween.
Don’t know what colors to try?
Here is a roundup of over 20 of the trendiest nails for Fall.
Read a New Book
There’s nothing like getting all cozy under a blanket and enjoying a good book when it’s chilly outside. It’s the perfect way to relax and unwind.
Sometimes I like to break out the old books in the spirit of Halloween, like Stephen King books.
I also like to read books about personal growth as a part of my self care routine. Here are some of my favorite books about personal development.
I also have a 30 day Personal Growth Challenge that you can check out and get a FREE checklist for.
Declutter for Fall
I always feel so much better when my house is organized and clean, which is why it’s one of my favorite parts of self care. Yeah, I don’t really like it when I’m cleaning, but it’s so much easier to get cozy in the chilly weather when my house isn’t a complete wreck.
It’s also a great time to start putting away your summer clothes and getting your Fall pieces out.
Make some Hot Chocolate
Of course, hot chocolate is a must when it starts getting chilly out. It’s the perfect way to warm up in the morning or at night.
I especially love drinking hot chocolate while watching Halloween movies.
Burn Fall Candles
I love Fall candles so much I burn them year round.
My absolute favorite scent is Hot Maple Toddy from Candleberry.
Decorate your House for Fall
Decorating my house is always one of my favorite Fall self care ideas.
I love going shopping for decor and even getting crafts to make my own decor, like these Fall wreaths.
Have a Halloween Movie Night with Popcorn
What’s a self care night without a Halloween movie and popcorn? This is one of my favorite ways to spend weekends in the month of October.
Here are some of my favorite Halloween movies.
Take a Fall-Themed Bath
Baths are one of my favorite self care activities, but they’re even better when it starts to get chilly out.
Taking a long bath is the perfect way to relax at the end of a long day or even just to get warmed up after spending the day outside.
You can even take a fall themed bath by putting Fall decorations around the bathtub, lighting your favorite Fall candle, using a Fall-scented bath bomb, and putting on a Halloween movie or reading a book.
Use a Face Mask
I can’t talk about self care without talking about face masks.
My skin gets so dry when the seasons start to change, so I like to take some extra steps to make sure my face is moisturized.
There are even Fall themed face masks you can do, or you can try making your own!
Go on a Walk
There’s nothing like taking a walk in Fall.
The cool crisp air and the Fall foliage are enough to turn my whole day around.
Try going to a place you’ve never been before or somewhere where there’ll be a lot of changing trees to like at.
Try Fall Makeup Looks
Doing my makeup is super relaxing. I love to try out new Fall makeup looks with warm eyeshadows, smokey eyes, and dark lipstick.
In my free time, I also love trying Halloween makeup looks just because.
Carve a Pumpkin
My ABSOLUTE favorite Fall activity. Carving pumpkins. There’s just something about getting together with family and friends and carving pumpkins.
Every year I go to a pumpkin patch to bring back a pumpkin to carve.
Get House Plants
If you want to bring your house to life, get some house plants.
Fall is amazing, don’t get me wrong, but the green that was once everywhere slowly fades away.
I love to add green and life back into my house. It just makes me feel better.
Do Yoga
Last but definitely not least, try doing yoga. This should be a part of everyone’s morning routine.
Take the time to meditate, do some yoga poses, and incorporate breath work to start off your day the right way.
