It’s been so long, it feels weird getting on here and writing this.
The last time I wrote a post was in February.
Taking this long of a break makes it difficult to come back. Let me tell you, it’s been a journey.
I wanted to come back and first tell you that it’s okay to take a break for your mental health.
It’s Okay to Take a Break for your Mental Health
It’s hard to deal with your mental health when there is so much pressure from the outside to keep going.
I’m here to tell you that it’s okay to take a break.
It’s okay to take a semester off. It’s okay to cut down your work hours. It’s okay to do whatever you have to do to be your happiest and healthiest self.
Heck, that’s why I’m here. The reason I started this blog is to help you thrive at life. And sometimes what it takes to do that is a break.

- Just lay in bed and relax
Dealing with Chronic Illness
Just if your curious, I’ll tell you a little bit about what I’ve been dealing with and why I needed a break.
Starting in October, I moved and started studying for my boards.
All of the sudden every time I ate something like fast food, I was so sick for about a week. It was the worst I ever felt in my life. I thought it would end, but it just kept happening.
Then I slowly started feeling deathly ill after every single thing I ate. This lasted for 7 months. 7 months of laying in bed feeling like I’m dying.
After 3 months, I was diagnosed with H. Pylori but I tested negative and was still so sick and getting worse.
Then it took months to get into a GI where after a month and a half, I was diagnosed with functional dyspepsia that was possibly caused by stress.
I started an antidepressant and all of the sudden I wasn’t sick anymore. After becoming malnourished, I’m slowly gaining weight and eating more.
I tried doing my blog for a few months, but I just didn’t have the physical or mental energy to keep up with it, so I quit.
Now that I’m slowly started to recover, I’d love to jump back in. After my experience, I’d love to write more about health, so let me know what you think.
Thanks for reading about how it’s okay to take a break for your mental health.
