This moment has been a long time coming.
Welcome to my first ever blog income report!
I’ve spent years combing through so many blog income reports. Each one gave me a little more hope than the last.
I know I haven’t made much money blogging yet, but I want to give you hope if you feel stuck!
Some bloggers grow faster than others and that’s completely okay. I know it’s hard, but try to not compare yourself to other bloggers.I did for the longest time but I realized my blogging journey is going to look different than everyone else’s and so will yours.
I’ll show you how I made money with a tiny blog in 2021 in my first income report! Don’t forget to pin this for later!
Why I Started a Blog
You can skip ahead to the good stuff if you want, but I wanted to talk a little bit about why I started a blog in the first place.
I’ve always loved writing. I’d write out stories and all kinds of stuff as a kid. In 2016, I started a little blog on Blogger as a hobby. I was in college at the time, so after a year I just slowly stopped posting.
This last year I started missing it, so I started looking into blogging again. Only this time, I saw income report after income report.
I thought maybe just maybe I could do this for fun AND make a little extra money.
I did all the research, got a self-hosted blog, and I’ve kept it up ever since.
By the time I graduated college, I found out that I really didn’t like the career I had chosen, like a lot of people.
That’s when I decided my ultimate goal is to make blogging my full-time job.
I’m not there yet, but I’m slowly getting closer and closer every day.
There are tons of reasons you should start a blog, even in 2021!

Blogging Goals
For the first time in a while, I achieved my blog traffic goal and even more!
My traffic goal for January was 8,000 and I got 13,000!
At the beginning of January, I joined the Amazon Affiliate program, so my goal is to make at least one sell in February.
If I keep up the blog traffic, I plan on looking around at different advertising programs.
My traffic goal for February is 14,000.
One of my biggest goals in the coming months is to learn more about SEO so I can diversify my traffic. The majority is coming from Pinterest, but I want to work on getting more organic traffic.

Best Blogging Resources
I didn’t make a penny until I started investing in resources to help me grow my blog and learn how to monetize it.
Here is a list of all of the blogging resources I’ve used to get me where I am in this first blog income report.
BlueHost– You’ll need a hosting plan to start a blog that makes money. I’ve been using Bluehost for a couple of years and it’s one of the cheapest on the market.
Canva Pro– I recently got Canva Pro for more images and fonts to use on Pinterest and my blog because the free ones are overused.
Pinteresting Strategies– After I started using the strategies in this course, my Pinterest monthly views shot up to over 2 million a month.
First Blog Income Report Final Thoughts
I didn’t want this to come off in any way like I’m bragging. I was just so excited after years of blogging for fun to finally make a little extra money!
Reading blog income reports were what made me hopeful after I realized I chose the wrong career.

Hi Megan, this was really inspiring to read! Are you still getting good results from Pinterest traffic now? I noticed a lot of bloggers saying it has been really bad in 2021. And would you consider sharing another income report? It’s really encouraging to see these!

Hi! I actually had some medical problems after this and stopped posting on Pinterest for like 6 months, so it tanked. But I started posting again a couple of months ago and it’s slowly building back up! It’s definitely a lot harder this year since they’re pushing shopping and idea pins. I’d love to post another income report! I haven’t made a lot, but I’m definitely making more from ads than I used to. 🙂
